Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 28, 2026

Last Updated: September 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed in connection with firstpoint-press.com. First Point Press is the author imprint under which the books and related works featured on the Site are published.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information when you choose to provide it. For example:

Contact inquiries: your name, email address, message, and any other information you voluntarily include in the message.

Email updates: your email address when you voluntarily sign up to receive First Point Press communications.

Community Submissions: If we invite adults to submit photographs, videos, captions, stories, comments, or similar community content for possible publication or sharing, we may collect the submitted content together with related contact information or other information voluntarily provided with the submission. Submitted content may be displayed publicly on the First Point Press website, social-media accounts, email communications, or other First Point Press materials as described at the time of submission. Community submissions are intended for adults. Children under 13 should not submit photographs, videos, or other personal information directly to First Point Press.

Website and analytics information: basic technical and usage information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages viewed, referring pages, and dates or times of access, as generated through website hosting, security, consent, and analytics technologies.

We do not ask you to provide payment-card information, billing information, or shipping addresses on the First Point Press Site for purchases completed through IngramSpark/Lightning Source or other third-party sellers.

Please Do Not Send Sensitive Information

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, payment-card or bank information, passwords, government identification numbers, medical information, confidential legal information, other highly sensitive personal information, or personal information concerning a child through the general contact form or ordinary email.

How We Use Information

We may use information to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site; respond to inquiries; provide information you request; send email communications you voluntarily requested; understand general Site traffic and usage; prevent spam, fraud, abuse, or security threats; maintain appropriate business and legal records; protect rights, safety, and property; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Email Updates and Promotional Communications

If you voluntarily sign up for First Point Press email updates, we may use your email address to send occasional communications about books, new releases, events, Persian cultural celebrations and seasonal greetings, and other First Point Press news or promotions. Sign-up is voluntary. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe method provided in the message.

We may use an email-service provider to manage subscriptions and deliver these communications. We do not treat a person who merely contacts First Point Press through the Contact form as a marketing subscriber unless that person separately chooses to sign up for email updates.

Service Providers

We may use service providers to support functions such as website hosting, security, caching and performance, contact forms, spam prevention, analytics, consent management, email communications, and technical maintenance. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services, subject to their applicable obligations and our configuration of the Site.

Analytics and Cookies

The Site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Optional analytics are controlled through the Site’s cookie-consent settings. First Point Press does not currently use third-party technologies for cross-site behavioral advertising. Third-party service providers may process technical information as described in this Policy to provide hosting, security, analytics, consent, email, or other Site-support functions. If we later use technologies that collect information across sites or for advertising or personalization purposes, we will provide any disclosure, consent, opt-out mechanism, or recognition of a legally qualifying browser- or device-based privacy preference signal required by applicable law.

Third-Party Purchases and Links

When you follow an IngramSpark/Lightning Source or other retailer purchase link, you leave the First Point Press Site. Information you provide during checkout—including payment, billing, and shipping information—is collected and processed by the applicable third party under its own terms and privacy practices. First Point Press does not itself process that checkout information through this Site.

The Site may also contain ordinary outbound links to Instagram and other third-party services. Those services are independently operated and have their own privacy practices.

Sale, Sharing and Behavioral Advertising

First Point Press does not sell personal information or use the Site to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently use advertising or remarketing pixels on the Site. If these practices change, we will review and update our disclosures and provide any choices required by applicable law.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for no longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, security, recordkeeping, dispute-resolution, legal-compliance, or legal-claims purposes. Retention periods may vary depending on the information and why it is maintained. Email subscribers remain on the mailing list until they unsubscribe or the information is otherwise removed in accordance with applicable practices and law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the Site and the information involved. No Internet transmission or electronic-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended primarily for adults and is not directed to children under 13 as an online service for collecting children’s personal information. First Point Press does not knowingly seek to collect personal information online directly from children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit names, email addresses, photographs, recordings, school information, precise location information, or other personal information through the Site. If a parent or legal guardian believes a child under 13 provided personal information directly through the Site, please contact firstpointpress@gmail.com. Appropriate steps will be taken consistent with applicable law, including deletion where required.

Your Choices and Requests

You may unsubscribe from First Point Press marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe method provided in the message. You may also contact us concerning personal information you directly submitted and request access, correction, or deletion. Requests may be subject to reasonable verification and applicable legal exceptions. Where applicable law provides additional privacy rights, those rights will be honored as required.

California Online Tracking Disclosure

The Site does not currently use cross-site behavioral advertising or similar tracking for advertising purposes. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not separately relied upon as the Site’s primary privacy-control mechanism. Optional analytics are intended to be managed through the Site’s cookie-consent controls. If applicable law requires us to recognize a legally qualifying browser- or device-based privacy preference signal, we will do so as required. Third-party service providers may process technical information as described in this Policy to provide hosting, security, analytics, consent, email, or other Site-support functions.

International Visitors

The Site is operated from the United States and may be accessible from other countries. If our activities later become subject to additional privacy requirements in another jurisdiction, we will supplement our practices and disclosures as required.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in Site features, information practices, service providers, or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date identifies the most recent version. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will follow the required procedure.
